A Customer of Rooms, expects high quality services and products and as a family run business established in 1995, we feel
we are well on the way to providing this standard to their satisfaction.
The business was conjured up from the dining room of Jane Wicks the proprietor. On the experience of her training and qualifications
in area management of one of the Countries leading fashion houses of the time.
Jane found herself as a single parent of 3 intelligent and active boys, needing to provide for her family and still thrive on the headiness
of managing a business. With a choice of how to spend the £500 she had inn her bank account, between paying her bills or starting Rooms,
she made the choice of starting Rooms, with a lot of help from friends and family to meet the bills and feed the family. The first 10
customers Jane looked after herself and then as things grew took on staff.
After a lot of running around dropping laundry of for clients it was decided to relocate to Stokesley and open a laundry to better manage
and control the services being provided by Rooms. Now some 15 years down the road, Rooms laundry has been established, as one of the
only independent wet care businesses in the area. Training and knowledge of this aspect of the business has come from many places, with
a vast quantity of research and technique development from experienced launderers from around the country.
Due to the nature of laundering, clients who have holiday properties came to us to enquire about where to purchase good linen from that
would launder, look good time and time again and last. So a relationship was developed with Mitre Hall and Letts. We sell linen that we
have the experience and knowledge of handling and know will meet the needs of this discerning customer. We now have the pleasure of offering
it for general sale to all our customers, both private and commercial.
These same clients also enquired about Rooms handling the turnarounds and general management of their holiday homes. This side of our
business was developed and we now look after to varying degrees this aspect of their businesses.
